Rooms to Inspire In The Country

Joel Longenecker from Hollywood at Home asked me to pass along this invitation to Riviera View readers. It sounds like a great way to spend a Thursday evening.

Peter Dunham and Hollywood at Home

cordially invite you to attend the launch of

The event will take place in the garden of Almont Yard

636 N. Almont Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90069

Kindly RSVP 310.273.6200

The author, Annie Kelly, and photographer, Tim Street-Porter will be in attendance and signing their newest addition in a series of Rooms to Inspire books.

Here is bit more about the book's creative team courtesy of Joel Longenecker.

"Annie Kelly is a decorator, design journalist and author of Casa Mexicana Style, Casa San Miguel, and Rooms to Inspire."

"Ms. Kelly is also the book reviewer for Introspective, the first on-line-only design magazine at and editor-in-chief of the New York Observer Home magazine. She also writes occasionally for World of Interiors in London. Ms. Kelly is also working on decorating projects in Los Angeles and New York, and is planning her fifth book, Rooms to Inspire in the City. Her decorating work has been featured in Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, House & Garden and recently in Country Living."

"Tim Street-Porter is an award-winning and internationally recognized photographer and author of architecture and design. "Within the book are houses, ranging from family estates to weekend retreats that are the personal homes of decorators and tastemakers, including Jonathan Adler, Martyn Lawrence-Bullard, and Steven Gambrel. The properties exemplify varied design perspectives and provide fresh ideas about how country living is ideal for creative expression."

If you plan to be in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 30th, please stop by Hollywood at Home, have a cocktail, meet some of your other designer/blogger friends and pick up a signed copy of this lovely new book. See you there!
